I'am using a Sony PCG-R505ESP notebook and running on Windows 2000 and I have installed all of the drivers for the O/S migration to 2000 but I still have 4 missing drivers. One is the Wireless driver and one is the USB Memory Stick and the other two are unknown drivers so I don't know what they are. I really need help on this please.

I found one of the drivers using that program but still I' am not able to find the right drivers for the two Unknown I tried installing the driver that is said on the unknown but it didn't work.

Yes I have all of the latest updates from Windows and I have all of the critical updates. The wireless program is not in Sonys driver page for 2000. The orginal O/S for my notebook was XP Pro but I put 2000 pro since it loads faster and better with a older O/S. But it seems like Sony doesn't make all drivers for O/S migration to 2000.

You must install the main chipset drivers after Setup has finished if you install an operating system from scratch. A search reveals your model/mboard probably has the Intel 830MG main chipset. Sony does not have these drivers on their downloads page, which is commonly the case for main chipset drivers for brand name systems - in this case they are on the Intel web site. The D-Link card I got it from a friend and it's a PCMCIA card but there is also a wireless card that is built on the notebook and it's from Lucent but I installed the driver for that but now I need a program that will be able to set up a wireless for this onboard wireless card.
Ok after I installed INF Update Utility and Intel Application Accelerator from that link it still says that it's unknown drivers and but now on my device Information it says something different even on my device manager says the same things.

"...I see the 2 unknowns after that." The reason OtheHill said: "Remove them from device manager and reboot." is sometimes "Unknown" entries are left behind in Device Manager that no longer apply. If you haven't tried that again after installing the INF Update utility, try that again. Allow Windows to try to automatically find the drivers next boot.

Agere, formerly known as Lucent, formerly known before that as Rockwell, doesn't make cards - it makes chipsets for cards, or for onboard devices. The drivers for 2000 and XP for many devices are identical. If you haven't already tried loading those XP drivers, give them a try (un-install the ones you have already installed, first, if applicable). If they don't work for you, search the web with: ORiNOCO® Wireless LAN Mini PCI card driver or similar. E.g. here: http://www.soft32.com/download_1717... "Driver" downloads are often not just the drivers - they often have applications and/or utilities that go with the drivers. Some wireless devices are 100% compatible with Win 2000's or XP's support of wireless devices and you can use the Windows support to set them up - some are not and you must use a utility included with the drivers to set up the device. .......

The video drivers are on the same page I pointed to, but I didn't tell you to download and install them since the graphics drivers are already on the Sony site and you said you installed everything on the downloads page. Obviously you didn't install the main chipset drivers before - otherwise you wouldn't have a lot more devices in your second list. There is no "Unknown" in the second list, so I have no idea what to suggest. Under what headings are the Unknowns in Device Manager, and what does it say there, exactly? If it doesn't say anything specific, you're going to have to go through that second list and compare what devices are found to those in your Device Manager pages to see what it doesn't have drivers for.
Ok I tried installing back to Windows XP and here's the list when all of the drivers are installed and working maybe you guys can help me find what was missing for Windows 2000 since I' am going to put it back to 2000 again. Some things are added like the printer etc. But it will show all of the devices that came with the notebook too.

One of the device that was missing was this one Sony Memory Stick Reader/Writer Driver. But I don't know what are the other two that are missing since they say unknown devices. I need help on getting the Sony Memory Stick Reader/Writer Driver and the two unknowns.
Well I know that all of the devices are shown on that list since that is a list when all drivers are installed. But I wonder which two on that list is the one that is missing when I install Windows 2000. The last time I checked the Unknowns said they were "PCI standard ISA bridge [Unknown]" or somethin like that. But it seems like just installing the chipset doesn't work it must be somethin different then what that person thought.
I used the program FC (File Compare; it's been built into Windows since Win 95) to compare a Notepad text file copy of your second list to a text file copy of your third list.
After weeding out entries in different places in 2000 and XP, and entries with more description or added numbers in XP,
providing the main chipset drivers have been installed, and providing your Win 2000 has SP4 updates installed: - it appears your PCI standard ISA bridge, Memory Stick Reader/Writer, and your onboard Orinoco wireless network adapter is found automatically in both OSs.

I know that I need to get it from Intel and I didnt fix one of the drivers that had the same driver names but I tried to put it on the second one it gave me a blue screen and it rebooted the PC. I need help on finding the driver on some site for the second unknown that says the location is Intel(R) 82801CAM LPC Interface Controller - 248C.
I tried installing that driver and my PC went to a blue screen and it rebooted so maybe even it says that is the driver it might not be. I still need help please one finding out what is the right driver.

There is really not much more to tell you, unless you have not tried some of the things we have suggested and you have not told us.
You said you re-installed 2000.
After Setup was finished:
Does your 2000 CD have SP4 updates, or later, included? (that's probably printed on the CD). If it doesn't, get and install SP4 updates, or later. Do that FIRST if applicable. If you didn't do that first, then do that again, then re-install the other stuff.
Did you install all the drivers available for your model from the Sony web site? Did you install all the drivers for your main chipset from the Intel web site? (Downloads - Chipsets - Laptop or Notebook Chipsets - INF Update utility first; if listed, IAA (Intel Application Acccelerator) second; then others if applicable.
When you found some drivers didn't work, did you Un-install any listings for those drivers that didn't work in Control Panel Add/Remove Software BEFORE you tried installing other drivers for the same thing?
Did you have a minimum of programs running like you're supposed to when you installed drivers and programs and updates? E.g. did you disable your anti-virus and anti-adware programs if applicable, or disable everything in Msconfig - under the Startup tab?
If you have done all things applicable, and you still are getting two unknowns for Intel(R) 82801CAM LPC Interface Controller - 248C, then see OtheHill's response 23.
