Hello , Opti 931 Sound Card Not Support on Windows 2000 , You Will Change your Sound Card ,to other , I use yamaha and Genius it is work Very good !

Yes, same is the case with me, I did everything to see that it works in w2k, but it was a futile exercise, so I suggest that the only solution for that is "Gift" your that sound card to someone and install anew one, I have also installed Yamaha and sound quality has also improved. P.S.-Will it not be a good idea to send back the sound card to manufaturer, so that he will create a museum for their enjoyment!!!!!

You may be able to 'fudge' by listing it as a sound blaster compatible. That works wondering in WinNT4, it often goes by the term 'emulation'... DiskMan
