driver installation

I just installed windows 2000 and downloaded HP deskjet 842c driver 2000 from the HP. How come the driver can not be installed in windows ? I doule clicked the setup icon,nothing happened.

Windows may already have the driver. Turn the printer on while rebooting to see if it will pick it up and install the driver.

A driver is only installed when its needed bij win2k. You can add it if you like in windows/system32 drivers
