I shave a Philips speech device that includes a roller mouse--a Philips 6174 device.
I get a code 10 error usually when I load it, however sometimes it works with the standard serial mouse driver. I think there is a better driver for this.
does anyone know where I might find one--or have one I can download? Thanks,
Ron

I do not suppose you looked on the Philips support website under Desktop Dictation ???

Wow, plainandsimple, you saved my butt again with another silver bullet! You must be the Lone Ranger(Who was that masked man?)
I looked on line yesterday but could not find a Philips download site for this device.
as soon as I installed it the roller mouse worked, without restarting. I also downloaded the manual. (I clicked on 'save to disk' and got a tiny text file, called 'index', downloaded. Went back and clicked on 'open from this location' and then on 'save to disk' and the correct full file diwnloaded. I don't know what that is all about, but it worked.)
Now, I have to figure out how the device works.
I use the roller mouse and the mike with my Dragon Naturally Speaking software -- the mike is excellent.
I have no idea now the record function is supposed to work. I'll work on it.Thanks again, Ka-ma-sabe(Lone Ranger speak for good buddy)
Ron
