I installed the W2K SP4 Update Rollup 1 v2 on two computers and got the same error on both: drag and drop files by right-clicking them does not work any more in Open or Save As windows in applications such as Notepad, WordPad and many more. However, drag and drop files works normally in Windows Explorer. I have tested the resolution offered in KB 274696 but no avail. BUT, removing the Update Rollup eliminates the problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot! I did some search on that site, but did not find anything relevant to my problem. A clarification is perhaps needed: I can of course get rid of the problem by uninstalling the rollup package, but as we know many new program versions require the rollup in order to install.
