Drag and drop doesn't work anymore

Often the drag and drop functionallity suddenly disappears. I can still drag files,... but when i click to drop, nothing happens.
Does anybody knows how to solve this?
My system: Pentium III 550 Windows 2000 Pro (Service Pack 1)
