Any download aborts after one or two seconds, typically only downloading about 160 KB of the file, but announces "Download complete"! I use IE

When you download these files, are you left-clicking on the link, or right-clicking and using "Save Target As.." ?

Some web download links call other code or scripts that initiate the download, so if you're using the right-click, "Save Target As.." method, you're really saving the HTML code associated with the link, not the file itself. This would explain why all the files are only 160KB and are downloading successfully.

If that's not the case - either there's a problem with the website's you're downloading from -or- a very strange problem with you browser or OS.

Hope this helps...
