I am on a multi-booting system and using ADSL internet. There is nothing wrong with the internet since it is working alright on win98 and winXP.
2. On win2k, however, the pages open alright in IE as well as Firefox ( and with good speed) but while small files load alright, medium and big files don,t get completely loaded and stop on the way.
3. Also, when I want to download a file, the downloader downloads 50 to 100 kb and stops. It happens in IE as well as on Firefox.
4. When I check my speed from bandwithplace.com, the test doesn,t get completed.
5. But when I update AVG or Avast the speed is perfect and the update gets completed without any hitch, even large updates.
6. The browsers and browsing appear to be in trouble, both IE and Firefox.
7. The fact of the matter is that I used to mainly work on win98 and winxp. It is only now that I tried to work on win2k and that is how I noticed the fault. Any remedy ??
8. I am posting this from win2k.

Let me add that , apart from the problem mentioned in the above post, the windows is working perfectly alright
