Dos window size

Subject: Dos window size
OS: Win 2000 (and XP)
CPU/Ram: PII 266
Model/Manufacturer: Compaq Deskpro
Comment:
Is there any means by which the very restricted DOS window can be enlarged, preferably to a full screen please?

If there is a way, it is certainly not obvious; even attempting to drag the edges of the window in the usual manner has no effect. The problem occurs in both 2000 and XP; probably in Vista as well.

There seems to be no good reason for this restriction.

Thank you for any assistance.

Regards,

J.G.

Windows 2000, like NT4 and XP and Vista have no MS-DOS subsystem, so where did you find the DOS ??

If you mean the NT COMMAND PROMT (CMD.EXE) window then see here:

Left-click the upper left hand C:\ and select properties. Then configure as you wish.

Hello Jennifer and Mavis,

Thank you both.

Both methods work fine for Win 2000 and XP; I don't have Vista.

Kind regards,

J.G.
