I am having trouble on getting dos sound in win2k i havea sblive .. and i thinki can get it to workn but i ned to configure the irqs is there a way to do so .. casue it's plug n' play and greys out the option to change them resources.. thanx

If a DOS program\game makes direct calls to sound hardware (and most do), you need to use a piece of software called a "helper utility" that places a software abstraction layer between the DOS program and hardware calls. This program is generally considered the best of that type:
