I already got a response to this posting before, what asked me to go to "Users and Passwords" section, then uncheck the option "has to enter password to login".
But in Win 2000 Server, there is no Users and Passwords section. I tried going to the Admin profile through "Computer Management", but never found an option to uncheck "has to enter password to login".
Any other hints?

Following was my original posting:Hi all
When I boot my computer, the OS takes me to the Windows logon screen. I dont have any password setup for the Admin profile and hence just have to hit 'enter' to go further. How can I skip this windows logon screen? I want to automate the shutdown/startup process and hence dont want to come to the logon screen.
Any inputs will be appreciated.

Wait a second dude! This may be possible; try moving to Local Security Settings, under Administrative tools. Go Security settings, then to Local policies, then Security options. On the right pane of the Window look for "Disable CTRL+ALT+DEL requirement for logon". Enable this option.
Good luck

Press Start->Settings->Control Panel->Users and Passwords. Unmark the field( just only one is there, you'll find) and press ok twice. That's how I did. I hope it'll work for you:)

Effectively in windows 2k server and advanced server there is no "users and passwords" icon in control panel .... The better is that you can check this KB article from MS to see how to launch CPL subs at console prompt... so for know just type: "Control userpasswords" and it goes !!!!
