Hi all When I boot my computer, the OS takes me to the Windows logon screen. I dont have any password setup for the Admin profile and hence just have to hit 'enter' to go further. How can I skip this windows logon screen? I want to automate the shutdown/startup process and hence dont want to come to the logon screen. Any inputs will be appreciated.

Open the control panel, select Users and Passwords, uncheck users must enter a user name and password. If you do not want to use a password go into the adavanced setting and do your password selection with no password and then make sure to also select that the password never expires. Eventually you will be prompted that your password is expiring and must be changed, even though you do not have a password selected if you do not take this step. HTH

This does not work. Actually there is no "Users and Passwords" in the Control Panel. I had to go through Computer Management. I selected the Administrator profile, but I never get an option to uncheck "user must enter password" Any other hints? Mahesh
