Domain name doesnt exist....

When I boot my win2000 it gets stuck at log in on all users, administrator and others saying 'Domain 'name' doesnt exist. I havent set up any domains and the machine is not networked, just worked one day and now this the next. My Hdisk is NTFS formatted and I need to find a way in. Safemode brings me to the same point. Any ideas guys & dolls?
