Comment: I need to have a user connect to a domain that does not share a trust relationship with the host domain, the only way the user can connect to that server is by using a trusted domain account i.e. \acme\ted then password. The password for both domains is the same, how can I get the logon script to use the account information from the trusted domain instead of from the default untrusted domain? Thank you, Leto the Just

Reply: (edit)If you run "NET USE /?" you´ll see it allows you to map drives using other accounts & passwords. Is this perhaps what you are looking for? =) Andrés

Reply: (edit)I dont know if thats what he was looking for but I sure am.....If I want to set up a client to have a drive from the server show up on that clients pc do I put the logon script on the server? if so where? I tried putting it into the NETLOGON folder but did not work...that client is setup as a domain admin...so I dont think that is a problem.

Reply: (edit)The script needs to be put in %root%\WINNT\SYSVOL\sysvol\%domain%.com\scripts and %root%\WINNT\SYSVOL\domain\scripts. Assuming that root is where the sysvol was setup. Then you have to make sure that the profile tab has the script name in the logon script box.
