Hello,
I Install DNS Server on my Windows 2000 Server for my own domain ,
But I have Problem ,
When I Ping my Host For Ex. www.domain.com , mail.domain.com and so one Ping answer me ,
But when I Ping domain.com ( My Domain Withhout ) Host Name It Don't Work , and give me error : host Unknown ,
Also When I want to send mail It don't answer me ,
Please Help me ,
no keys
My DNS Records :

(Same Paramerts Folder) NameServer domain.com
(Same Paramerts Folder)NameServer Domainmaster.com
Mail Host domain.com
www Host domain.com
mail Mail Exchange domain.com

create a new hostname in your dns namespace without hostname(leave blank).

It would seem to me the problem you are having is expect behavior. You can't ping a domain. You can only ping a host. No hostname, no ping.
