Comment:

Our Active Directory integrated DNS server resolves internal names perfectly. It is set up to forward external requests to our ISP's name servers which it does.

Our internal AD domain is: abc.company.com
Our public domain is: company.com

The issue:
All name resolutions involving external names have the public name appended.

Example:
"nslookup www.google.com" returns

"www.google.com.company.com" along with
the correct IP addresses

Reverse lookups return the same thing.

This doesn't stop clients from resolving
names properly since they use the addresses
from forward lookups; however, it isn't
correct.

Any advice on fixing this ?

Thanks in advance.
