I am trying to set up my DNS server on a Win2k Server and I need to enable Forwarders but the box I need to check under the "Forwarders" tab is greyed out. Why is this? What do I need to do to enable?

OK I fixed it.... I forgot to close the DNS manager and reopen. Once I did that I was able enable forwarders.

So apparently you have deleted the root zone? If not, it will remain grayed out.

Glen is right, you must remove the domain called . (root) which is created with by the AD installation wizard
