dns 2000 server problem
Name: eric Date: September 24, 2003 at 07:09:55 Pacific OS: WIN 2K/XP CPU/Ram: HP
Comment:
The DNS server was unable to complete directory service enumeration of zone dns1.flexlinefurniture.com. This DNS server is configured to use information obtained from Active Directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and repeat enumeration of the zone. The event data contains the error.
Anyone know how to solve above statement errors? I'm very much appreciated for your helpful guide.

dns1.flexlinefurniture.com. dosn't sound like it's a zone, more like a host.
Obviously you have selected to use an Active Directory Integrated DNS database. Try changing you DNS back to a Primary, have a tinker, and then change it back again.
I'm a little worried about that zone though!

Sorry eric, but I think your DNS or AD setup is too unstable for me to walk you through anything significant.
If you get any errors, then at the very least your DNS needs some tinkering.
You may need to dcpromo and then recreate the AD domain structures again. If so, be careful not to confuse your domain name with your FQDN when setting up the AD.
Does anyone else know how to check if the Active Directory is functioning properly?
