Hi,

I have a system which is set to tri-boot (Win98SE, Win2K, WinXP).

In WinXP I can set the DMA for the IDE controllers through Control Panel > Device Manager > IDE Controller > Primary or Secondary > Advanced Tab.

For Win2K, the advance tab is not there. How can I change the DMA setting if the option is not there?

Also, how do I change the DMA for Win98SE? I know you need to change it by using each CDROM's properties but there is no check box for DMA.

I have an Intel D850EMD2 Motherboard.
P1: WD120GB
P2: Plextor CDRW
S1: Sony DVDROM
S2: HP DVD200i

I also have an external Plextor DVD Writer. The plextor websites says I NEED to enable DMA, but as I listed above, am having difficulties.

Thank you for your replies in advance.

Hi DK

Have you got the Intel Application Accelerator installed ?

If yes, this is why the Advanced tab is missing.
