Hello,

We just received a new computer which is going to run the HMI and other control programs for a machine tool we have built. However, it has a problem that we can't find a solution to.

It seems that the dllhost.exe file causes an error giving the error message "DLLHOST.exe has generated an error and will be closed by Windows." This is repeatable, and so far has been noticed while:

- Installing .NET Framework
- Uninstalling .NET Framework
- Trying to access Component Services

The problem also occurs with both SP 3 and SP4.

When I look at the log in Dr. Watson it says:
dllhost.exe c0000005 <no symbols> (775CD6C7)

I believe the c0000005 is an access permission error, and have no idea what the other number is for.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this issue?

Thanks!
