What you're talking about is imaging (mirroring is on one machine...imaging two) and as far as I know is available....check microsoft's web site to confirm this.

you will generate a lot of network traffic this way, but i beleive it can be done

I would say no. You can not mirror a disk on two separate servers. You can not even mirror or drive on to removable media such as a CD or zip disk.

Unless you have your terms incorrect as Curt is suggesting, you can not mirror a drive across a network.

Disk mirroring know as RAID 1, cannot be done over the network. I think what you asking is disk spanning or a spanned volume, and that can be done. But like Mark said, it can generate lots of traffic on the network.

You can't span a volume over the network either. You can't do any of that stuff over a network. About all you can do is map a drive but you can't do RAID of any level or spanned volume or any of that. If you span a volume and loose any part of it, you lose the whole volume. So if you could do it and the network went down, you'd lose everything.
