I've just made a new computer for myself with a 60gig hd in it running win2000 pro.It has been running nicely for about 3 weeks. I was playing a game and it froze so I deleted it the gane and attempted to reinstall it. I just kept getting i/o errors and when I tried installing some game patches I got more i/o errors. I reset my computer and then it was all over. My computer kept reseting in the same place during startup, just before the scan prgram starts (took about 15 resets to get in this time) I have tried every posibility there is and the last thing I can think of is that my HD has bad sectors but I can't find a HD surface scanner anywhere in windows or on the net!
