i have the same problem... i know how it was caused.. but don't know a solution... i have a 30gig drive.. installed win 2k and worked fine... i then decided to run nt4 on the same drive.. nt4 only recognises drives up too 9gig.. i then had the 9(really 30) gig hd with a fresh install of nt4.. during the first boot with nt4, my motherboard (S.M.A.R.T.) told me that a failure was imminent.. so i tried to re-install 2000... i then recieved the error that you are having a problem with... it is caused by invalid boot/partition information.. causing the drive to be unreadable with nt4, win 2k, ms-dos, and norton disk rescue boot disk... in disk administrator... it says that the disk is... off-line.. configuration information not available... hope this helps... cause i hate problems like this... maybe a 3rd party progam could help???.
