Everytime I reboot, and try to access the internet, a message pops up telling me that the internet is not accessible, and either choose to "work offline" or "try again". Invariably I choose try again where it then briskly takes me to the internet.
Now I have a constant connection to the internet (cable), so I'm wondering why it asks me this every time I restart, and more importantly, how do I stop it...Other computers I've had have not done this. TIA

If you can't cure the problem. This is how I got rid of it myself.... Get Buzof at http://www.basta.com/ It's an utility program that eliminate all unwanted annoying windows. In the global options put 0.1 seconds. Anyway it worked for me the annoying window is gone in a flash.
Well I had checked the options tab, it is set to 'never dial a connection'...because I'm on a LAN. Anyone have an idea?

I have the same problem, under Win98 with a dial-up internet connection. Looking desperately for a way to make it stop. It only started doing that today.
