I would like to ask is there any way to disable the "print screen" function key on a windows 2000 workstation. Can registry or policy help?

There's no way to disable the print screen function, but you have to know what to do with the information AFTER the key is pressed in order to actually print the screen shot.
Why do you need to disable this option?

Hi, thanks first.
I want to disable the Print Screen Key because the users need to work on sensitive data. I can disable the Print Screen in my program, such that when i work on my program's screen, when i press the Print Screen function key, then I can't capture the screen. But when I open other application, such as notepad, and the notepad windows is now in focus, with my program screen at the back. At this time, I press the Print Screen function key. This time I can successfully capture the screen, with the sensitive data. It seems that the OS capture the Print Screen function, which I want to disable.
Any idea? thanks.

Jenny, Found this on the internet. It says in last paragraph that it does what you want. Just disables any key. But it costs $39.95. Don't know if this is an option. http://www.keychange.com/default.asp
