Go into Power Options in Control Panel, click on the APM tab and enable APM.

Hi Curt,

Thanks for your advice. But the problem is no APM tab in my Win 2000 Pro > Control Panel > Power Options.
I checked the Microsofts site, some where it is I found that if there is dual monitor, the APM tab will not work.
I am not installed a second monitor. I have no dual monitor in Win 2000 Pro, but Win ME is showing there was a dual monitor in Desktop> Properties> Settings.
Can any one help me to solve this problem.

(There is no 'It is Now Safe to Turn Off Your Computer Now' message in Win ME, problem with Win 2000 Pro only)
