Go to / start / system control panel and doubleclick on Internet Options. In the Internet Options click on Program. Click on the button Manage Add-ons. Here you can disable, what ever you need to.

Win2000 came with IE5. Therefore you should have an option to repair IE6.
Go to Add/remove program in Control Panel. Highlight the IE6 line. Choose Remove. You should get an option to remove or repair. Choose Repair. Don't worry that choosing remove will automatically perform that operation. Even if there is no repair choice you will still be able to back out if you wish.
