Does anyone know where I can download direct x 9.0? When I try to download from microsoft it makes me go thru the "Windows Genuine Advantage"; meaning I can't copy the exe and install it on another pc. Since I currently dont have internet access at home I can only download it from work and install it at home.

Before I hear the bull about getting a valid copy of windows; I already have a valid copy but just not internet access. I had to reinstall windows and I'm trying to watch TV using my ati card but cant complete install because I believe it needs a version of Direct X which I dont have.

Thanks

I find it several places on my hard drive by using the search feature. I find the installer in a folder and it's contents is ~37mb in size.

It came with an Analog to Digital converter I had purchased.

Have a look on your hard drive maybe you have a copy there too or look on the CD's of some newer games for it.

OldVersion.com has 9.0a and 9.0b. Found using Google.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Now that you mention it I remember oldversion.com... When I searched google I went about 4 pages deep but couldnt find anything but I typed direct x as two words instead of one and I guess I gave up, but thanks alot.(simply typing directx as one word I would've found it)
I really think I was frustrated that MS put the Windows Genuine Advantage which made my search for a simple fix harder to find. I understand it but its not like I was downloading SP4...anyway thanks alot
