Hi, I'm new to Windows 2000 and I have some things to learn about it. One thing is how do I get Windows 2000 to automatically dial up to my wifes' remote email account from here job? The dial-up connection automatically comes up in Win 98 and I never did anything to make it come up, it just does. When she wants to check her mail in Windows 2000, she has to make the connection manually and then start her e-mail client. Would someone please tell me how to configure Windows 2000 to have the dial-up connect box to automatically come up when she opens here e-mail client?

If you are using outlook express as email client the below is the solution: 1.Goto 'Tools' menu, select 'Accounts' 2.Click on 'Mail' tab 3.Select your account 4.Click 'Properties'. 5.'Connections' tab 6.Check box 'Always connect to this account using' and specify the account below.
Hope this will do

Or go to control panel-> internet options and click Connections. Then choose 'Dial whenever a network connection is not present' or Always dial my default connection. This will bring up the connect window not only if you open Outlook Express but also if you open Internet explorer.
