when I log on as administrator, the dialup auto logon for internet works. When logged on as a different user, the check box is available, but it won't save the setting. Any help for this?

Dial-Up Networking Password Is Not Saved (Q148925). There is a 2000 portion there, not much though. Maybe try deleting the connection and re-creating the connection.
