There is an easier way (I think). Right click My Computer, select Manage. Click Device Manager, then in the right pane, expand Computer. You will see (probably) ACPI or MPS Multiprocessor. Right click and select Properties, then the Driver tab. Choose UPdate Driver, then Next. On the next screen, select Display a list of... then Next. Select Show all hardware of this device class. Whatever the Multiprocessor was, choose the Uniprocessor driver. Continue with the Wizard. You will have to reboot. If something goes wrong (running a MS OS and all that) you can boot into safe mode and re-instate the previous driver.
I hope that works 'cause if not, that's alot of typing for nothing.
i know what you mean but the way im talking about i liek more since all you have to do is modify your boot.ini file with a windows configuration tab with prompt /procnum or something like that and you use a pull down tyab like 123...etc. and right now its set at 2 i want to make it one. it has nothing to with drivers which is what your talking about which i dont want to mess with. so if anyone else knows that prompt in run that is like msconfig then please let me know i am dying to play some online halo!
