Is ther any type of logging for the the DHCP client in Win2K? All logging references I see on the net are for the DHCP server.

indeed there is. O.k... the problem now is that my Win2k has a german GUI, so i'll *try* to give you an english step-by-step manual.
go to "Administration" in the Control Panel. There you can find event informations. Select the view "system protocoll" and create a new one via context menu. This one you can call "DHCP". Now open the settings of this new View, open the Tab "Filter" and select DHCP as Source. Select all kinds of events and all categorys. Done.
If you need help/a better advise, i could send you some Screenshots ;)
and then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of the tunnel is just a freight train coming your way

I assume by "Administration" you mean Administrative Tools. Which element of Adm Tools are you referring to? Maybe some screen shots would be more explanatory. Is there a URL you can direct me to?
