I'm installing 2000 Server, I need a DHCP server on this machine. I installed windows dhcp server. And I need some help..... When I go into "services" and "DHCP Server" When looking at this (under services) go to properties, there are 4 tabs. Under (Dependencies) most come up with all the programs that depend on this) But this new one says (FAT 32 no service was installed) Does anyone know how to help me? Thanks Jeff

You need to administer DHCP fromthe administrator tools. If you have instaled DHCP properly it will show up there as DHCP manager.from the DHCP manager you can create scopes , determine lease time, and add reservations, etc. DHCP client will almost always be running as a service. To install DCHP server, go to start>settings>control panell>add remove programs. from that window select the last one on the bottome{third one} Windows components. When that window opens[it takes a minute] under networking services you will see DHCP, make sure there is a check mark in the box and click next.{you will need the WIndows server disk} Have fun!
