hi all !
I just upgraded from win98 to win2k. I have this HP 722C deskjet printer which used to work great under win98 but ever since i installed the new 2000 drivers (which come standard with win2K) i have been having the following problems when trying to print a color pic -1. Very slow speed. taking almost 3 - 4 times longer
2. Very poor print quality with what appears to be green speckles. The photoretII technology doesn't seem to be working.
3. Also no double sided and bi directional printing.
Does anybody know what's going on ?
thanks

Which service pack are you running? I guess whether SP1 or SP2, go to HP website and download latest W2K from their site. The drivers with W2K are generic HP drivers and may not be specific to your model of printer. Also, if not running SP2, I strongly recommend upgrading.

Ross : Spooling is enabled still the print speed is very slow.
Pland53 : Hp's website doesn't list any drivers for my Printer. All it says is that the drivers come standard with win2K. Are you talking abt SP2 of win2k ? where can i download it from ?
Thanks

for w2k sp2: if you're using ie6, click on tools (on the menu bar) & click on windows update. the link will take you there. if not ie6, go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/?IE
and you can find sp2 update, ie6 update, etc. you really should update to sp2. it solved alot of the problems i was having with w2k.
