I have got a dell poweredge 2300 pII 400 server that is running raid 5 on 3 9.1gb hard drives. When I go throught the windows 2000 setup and create the partition it formats and everything is fine. After it formats it copies the files from the cd to the drives all that goes fine also. What my problem is when it reboots and tries to boot into 2k i get an error no boo sector or disk error right when it hits the drives. What do you think firmware on the raid card????

thanks
Nick

Why dont you ask this question to Dell support? They offer a very good free technical support for their products.

I also have the exact same problem with a Dell Poweredge 2200 and Windows 2000 Advanced Server. Raid is fine, setup sees the logical drive, formats it, copies files....but once I restart, i get a "Disk Read Error Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to Reboot".

What am I doing wrong ?
