please help. i have a dell inspiron 3800 and if i dont connect to the internet the first 3 or 4 times then it wont dial again for about 20 mins unless i reboot the system, i had this problem when i had win 98 and i installed with a clean copy of win 2k hoping it would solve my problem but it seems to be worse. when it wont dial again it comes up with the error 777. does anybody know what this means and how i can sort it...

Hmmm I'd try using the latest drivers for your modem. After that check the properties of your modem and make sure everything is set right and working. Then look at the connection properties of your dial up connection and see how many times it is supposed to try dialing before giving up. change that number and see what happens.... If all that doesn't do anything, REpost with any details.....
