I have a 75 GB Western Digital hard drive. It is used as my second non-windows boot drive. It had a single FAT32 partition on it. That became corrupted somehow when I was deleting WIN ME and installing WIN 2k. I have had trouble getting windows to recognize this drive, and when I did it only recognizes it as a 7 gig drive. I think its the remnants of the FAT32 on it. I used a WIN98 boot disk to use FDISK but it froze everytime I wanted to switch fixed drives. Partition Magic has also not solved my problems. HELP!!!! Please!

There is a great utility called Delpart. It allows you to delete any partition now matter what format. Google for it and do a download.

It does not sound like you have a software issue but a hardware issue. Fact that W2K seeing fat32 but only up to 32 gig natively or larger if created with 98/me tells me you 7gig could be a hardware issue. First off make sure the drive is configured correctly [master/slave never cable select] and it is correctly detected in the bios. Then use a 98 or better version of fdisk and remove all partitions. Reboot. Recreate the partition(s) you want and format. Then view them and see if the sizes are correct. If not then download the utilities for the drive from the manufacturers webs site and diag the drive. If bad rma it.
