Dear All,
I have a major problem. Someone reported to me that after they logged on that they didnt receive all there data or applications. After browsing through documents and settings, i found there profile. So i copied there documents and desktop shortcuts from there profile to this profile they had logged in with, not realizing that there original profile was corrupt, therefore had logged them on with a temp profile. So after copying, i logged off and back on, and guess what, it had lost all there documents and everything! I have browsed through the profile on the hard disk, but cant find anything, is there a way to get this back??

If you had copied the files from the old profile to the new profile, wouldn't they be located in both places?
A good rule of thumb, store all user files on a separate partition from the OS, or...a file server that is backed up nightly.

Did you try to search all hard drives, using search tool instead of browsing? BTW, you can recover deleted files using system mechanic Search and Recover.
You can use this trial version: http://www.iolo.com/sr/download.cfm

What exactly do you mean by "Temporary Profile?" So, you moved the items from the old profile to the Temporary Profile, deleted the old profile, and then deleted the Temporary profile AND the documents contained therein?
