to get rid of the linux partition you can simply go to Start-Settings-Control Panel-Administaive Tools-Computer Management Then go to Disk Management (on the left hand side).
In here you can delete the linux part but it will not allow you to join the 30 to the 10, they will remain seperate. If you wish you can create another windows partitions?
To join them together you will need a disk managing program (Nortons Disk Manger ??) or if you use Ghost you can gain the extra space (but that can be complicated)

Hope this helps

Not that familiar with Norton's Disk Manager suite but I don't think it does what you want in terms of merging the free-space into the single W2K Primary? I think you would be wiser to use a util such as System Commander/Partition Magic/(BootIT ?) to that end. I would tend to favour System Commander or BootIT over PM...

Also, once you have removed the Linux partition, personally I'd configure the recovered space as a separate data area (as an Extended-partition). Use W2K Disk Admin tools to this end.
