Delete Roaming Profiles from Server

I have created a shared directory on a server for the creation of roaming profiles and set its path in the user settings. When a user logs on, the profile is created correctly, but I am unable to open the users's folder as an administrator once created. I can take ownership, but even then can't delete the folder. The best I can do is to rename it so that the folder can be recreated, but even once renamed (to a single digit number) it can't be deleted. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the tips - I'll try those on Monday. I think I'll need to start with the top folder and check the permissions there, maybe even start again using the Copy to procedure. Luckily the users aren't used to having roaming profiles so hopefully I've got some flexibility to experiment.
