After each reboot, Toshiba Laptop w Windows 2000 prompts with Windows Installer and reset the Home printer as the default printer. Need to manually change the default printer in the office. Any suggestion how to fix that?

In my systems the default printer can be different for a program than for the system default. In other words I set my Color Laser as the Windows default printer thru printer settings. My CAD program needs my wide carriage printer, so I set that as the default in the CAD program and it all sticks. Hope this makes sense. To make things even more complicated these printers are both network printers connected to another computer sometimes running a different OS.

Thank you for the explanation. But how do I get rid off the initial installaion step after the reboot that makes that Home printer as the default one?
