DDRAW.DLL file missing

I need help!!! When i try to play games on my computer it says that a ddraw.dll file was not found. My sister has the windows 2000...she copied the file and sent it to me. I put it where it was supposed to go. Now i get a message saying that my ddraw.dll file has been found, but it cannot start it? I dont have any idea what i should do next....any suggestions?

DDRAW.DLL is available at http://solo.abac.com/dllarchive don'tget your hopes up though I downloaded it and it still wouldn't work

when ever i start up my computer a box comes up sayin REMOTE: this program has perf...........shut down. when i click on details it says somethin about ddraw.dll. I also think this is why when i change my computer color settings on to 16 bit it automatically changes back to 16 colors. can you please tell me how to sort it out. PLEASE!

all you need to do is download and install DIRECT X 8.0 it will fix any missing DDRAW.DLL file errors
