Ok - i feel like a moron because I don't even know what DCOM is (or perflib for that matter but that's a whole 'nother issue!) Anyways, I am getting the following error daily in my event viewer:
DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service SENS with arguments "" in order to run the server:
now...i could give you a bunch of bull**it about the specs of my computer, software, yadda yadda - but i just need to know what this regards or if it points to any software in particular because i haven't made any big changes since i started getting this error. Its not harming anything, but its pestering me in the sense that i feel like i'm reading chinese when i read that error! any info on DCOM is appreciated.

A search of DCOM on microsoft's web site should yield more information. Also, while you're there, check your error message in the knowledgebase........there just might be a fix for it.
