.DAT copy error

OS: windows 2000pro sp1
CPU/Ram: 500mhz ~380mb

i am getting an error when i try to copu the avqes01.dat file from a vcd to my hard drive.
[error copying avqes01.dat : invalid msdos function]
its worked before for me on windows 98, 95 and even win 3.11
so whats wrong?

my windows 2000 is a fresh install so there is most likely no corupt files or nething
