ok well to start off, i know close to nothing about computers. one day i was playin a online game in dos and a pop-up came up so i sent me back to windows. the image was corrupted and the pixels were real big. so i went to try and fix them in properties and my computer crashed. so yea i find out its the display adapter (which i was amazed i was able to do). do all sorts of dumb stuff. download new drivers. oh i use win 2000 and the display adapter is nvidia riva TNT. so i download new drivers and that doesnt work. i unistalled it 192381923 times and it keeps installing itself everytime i reboot. if i dont unistall it in safe mode ande reboot it'll crahs when windows starts. i dont know what to do anymore and looking threw all thsoe questions didnt help. any help would be very appreciated.

that's an issue apart from the crashes. when you do install it. go to the device manager, Control Panel / system / Hardware / device manager / display adapter. are there any yellow "!" or some other indication of trouble? It probably has a driver issue. Are you sure you downloaded the correct driver for W2K?
Install this: Aida32. It will hook you up.
If the driver isn't the problem you may have a device conflict with another device on your computer but device manager will tell you that.
