Try going to the following places in the registry. Remember to backup the registry before performing any functions in there. Click My Computer in Registry Editor, then click Registry->Export Registry File
Perform the following as instructed:
Start -> Run -> type regedit HKey Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKey Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices HKey Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce HKeyCurrentUser\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKeyCurrentUser\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
Search for the C:\winnt\system32 file that keeps popping up. In right-pane, click value to highlight and click delete to remove each key instance.
Summary: I have an icon on my screen that says Search Result - don't know how it got there....When I open it and click File, Properties it has as the address - res://C:\WINNT\System32\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm#...
