ctrl alt del to logon on win2000

is there a way to get around the ctrl alt del option on windows 2000 boots to logon to the domain can it be made just to come up and choose local or domain about like 95/98 does

Yes you can make it so the login screen appears right away, however you still have to know a valid account name and password to get in. It's a security thing. To change the settings go into administrative tools and local polocies and i think either system polocies or user polocies has the menu to change your login.

when i done that it did not work, i went back in and it said when domain policys are set it overrides local policy...I am logging on to an nt 4.0 domain

domain policies always override local policies. there's no way around it.

Actually you go into Administrative Tools, Local Security Policy, Security Settings, Local Policies, Security Options... Disable ctrl-alt-del logon is listed there.
