I just bought a Creative Audigy MP3+ card and I can't get the damned thing to install for love nor money. Wrote to creative technical, and they are no help. Before I take this mother of a card back for my money, I would like to know if anyone else out there has had the install problems I have had with this card.
By the way, I found out that the Audigy install disk is missing drivers and the install program is pointing to the wrong paths...just thought I would warn everyone else that has Win 2000 to stay away from Creative Audigy cards like this because Creative isn't giving proper support to us.
They think they can force me to buy XP but I am not going to!
By the way, the things it is not finding on the audigy disk are:
The IEEE 1394 Controller
The Multimedia Audio Controller
The PCI Input DeviceWhat ends up happening is that since these drivers and controllers are NOT on the audigy installation disk, its asking for the W2K disk, and not finding it THERE, it is failing to install...
Has anyone ELSE found this to be a problem?
If you have any kind of solution, please write to me at my email address...bummer, I am about ready to return this card for a refund.

I had similar issues while installing an Audigy Gamer card. What I found was it's best to go into the CD and run the start.exe program directly. Then, after the installation is complete, goto www.soundblaster.com and under their downloads section, there is a file called ADGXPDrvUpdate which after the reboot, you should be able to just execute that program. All should be fine after that. After the wdm drivers are installed, then you can load the firenet program.
