Comment: I have a wireless connection to the internet with a static ip. I also have a 10/100T wired network card in that same computer that goes to a hub. How do I share internet between the other computers connected to the hub? ICS in windows 2000 wants to change the wireless IP to a private IP.

Reply: (edit)are you using the wireless internet connection or the wired internet connection to connect to the internet? Is the "point of entry" wireless going through the hub? Win 2k has ICS? I believe 2k wants to change you ip address because it is connected to a hub. If you share internet connection through a hub all machines on that hub will have a different ip address! I am not to familliar with wireless yet. But I hope something there helps.

Reply: (edit)Sounds like you're trying to enable ICS on the net card connection. You need to enable it on the wireless card connection, and it'll set the net card IP to 192.168.... or similar. You'll then have to reconfigure networking in the other PC's to reflect that (gateway, etc.).
