This is my second attempt at posting this message, so bear with me. If it double posts..I apologize.

In essence, my computer's been horribly sloooow over the last week and a half. Programs wont run because there's not enough RAM available for some reason, and when I open the Task Manager and look under Performance, it's unbelievable! My CPU Usage is at 100%, and I mean totally flat-lined at the top, pegged to the max, and my Memory Usage is flat-lined as well, reading around 163312K.

Since this started I can barely do simple tasks on my system. WHAT the heck is this and how do I fix it?

I've done scandisk, defrag, and I keep my virus software up to date and scan regularly. I've cleared the history and cache folders, but I've run out of things to try.

ANY suggestions would be so helpful!!! Thanks!

It would help if you actually listed the process in task manager that is taking up your cpu. You may find the cause of your problem right there and not need further assistance.

Try booting into safe mode, if the problem is gone then try shutting down some programs that run in the background. If you installed a new program recently I'd start looking there. As a last resort, back up your personal files and do a clean install of Windows. Good luck.
